I’ve been wanting to made a feminine soft card all week and finally had the chance!
Tonight I made this card for a dear friend of mine who is going through a rough time at the moment. Everyone needs a bit of encouragement sometimes in life and I believe this is a moment that she needs it. And what better way then a beautiful card!
I designed my card from the latest sketch at Sketch and Stash. I love the idea of this challenge site as they challenge you to use something new or neglected from your stash. I’m sure everyone of us can relate to this and I quite frequently feel sorry for all the little bits and pieces that don’t get used. Quite literately! I can see my mum shaking her head as I always keep the smallest of scrap pieces of paper but I’m getting better and understand when it’s best to let go!
Something that I believe become quite neglected in our stash are our stampin’ write markers. I always struggle to use them but have been enjoying the watercolour technique that they produce. I also believe that this would be the first time in using some of these old in colours as well as the designer series paper!
So here is sketch challenge #136:
Here is my take on the sketch:
Very happy with this card and hope my friend enjoys it as well.
Thanks for visiting today!
Remember to smile as you never know who’s day it will brighten!
