Belated Mothers Day

Welcome back!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted and I keep putting it off! But I’m here now.

I made this butterfly for my amazing Mum for Mother’s Day (4 weeks ago!). I believe, but don’t quote me on it, that the butterfly is from Typo. I haven’t been able to find another one there and wish I bought more than one because it turned out so pretty and now I want one to look at everyday!

So here is a photo of the butterfly in progress.

WIP Butterfly

I wasn’t happy with it and thought the body of the butterfly needed to be defined more. So here I added more details to the body and made it flow more. This was the final product!

Finished Butterly

Here are the beautiful flowers I bought for Mum as well. We don’t get tulips here and Mum wanted them last time I went shopping. They’re just so cute. They all smelt so good!

Flower bouquet!

Mother’s Day Card

Of course you can’t have a celebration without a card. Here I made a very simple card. It’s actually the second one I made. The first one wasn’t working out but I’m very happy I decided to change the card completely and ended up with the following instead!

I hope you all liked my creations. I will be back to post some more things soon!

Just thinking

Welcome bloggers!

Today I decided to take a crack at this weeks sketch at retrosketches.

I’ve never created a card with a cut out section like this so it was interesting to design. I chose to use a stamp with a matching stampin up framelit. Obviously this makes the card design flow together easily. Using this years new in-colours finally! Just love opening new packets of cardstock and creating more scraps for the scrap box.

The card sketch looks like this:
And this is how I interpreted the sketch 🙂

I hope you all like my card and visit again soon to see more of my creations from this weekend!

Happy Saturday!!!

Paperbelles Blog Hop – March 2014

Fantastic News Peeps!

This week I have organised a Blog Hop with some members of my team. Stamping Shanni has challenged us all to blog more frequently so part of that is offering some mentoring and incentives to start posting on our blogs and to share some of our amazing creations.

The Blog Hop will run from today until next Wednesday 2 April!

Sometimes Blog Hops have themes but ours is simply to create, share and inspire! Of course we are all Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators but we each have unique and varied styles and the projects that we will share will be vastly different.

Please take a look at the Paper Belles Blog Hop, follow the blog, follow on Pinterest, leave a comment, pin anything that you like and refer friends.
These are this week’s participants:

Hope to see you popping by my blog over the next week so that you can see all that we have been up to and I trust that you will visit others in the Blog Hop!

We’re so excited!

See you soon,

Pick me up – time to be happy

I like to use sketches to get my cre8tive juices flowing. I have found a great site that has many other talented Stampin! Up! users on there and have used their recent sketch to cre8te the following card. So here is the sketch – No: PCCCS085:
A close friend of mine is going through a rough time at the moment and I cre8ted this card to offer a pick me up for her.

I chose to cre8te this card using Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #85 and the basic gray colour card choices of Basic Gray, Melon Mambo and Old Olive.

I used Basic Gray as the base card and started by stamping the background in Basic Gray with ink dots from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. I then layered framelit banners in Old Olive and Melon Mambo cardstock underneath the sentiment along with a scallop punched from Basic Gray cardstock and hole punched the edges. On Very Vanilla cardstock the ink dots were stamped again in Old Olive with the so sorry sentiment stamped on top in Basic Black. I decided to layer this on Basic Black cardstock to make the sentiment pop a little more.

Inside the card I have layered the second part of the sentiment on Melon Mambo cardstock shaped from the banner framelit dies.

This is one of my first few cre8tions of this year. I hope you enjoyed it and will check back for more soon!

Till then,

Luv 2 Cre8te

New year – new look!

Hey bloggers,

It’s been a while since Mum & I have blogged but I decided to spice up our blog a little and moved websites.

We’ve had a quiet past year with not many paper crafting projects emerging from our little studio! This year we are attempting to change this and have been inking, tearing, embossing and stamping more frequently!

I hope we can keep up with the frequent blogging this year and can inspire all you other crafters out there. Please feel free to critique our work with respect and I hope we can gain inspiration from all other talented bloggers out there.

Watch this space as our blog emerges with cre8tivity!
